Single Player... whats good atm?

Looking about for a single player game to get stuck into ... what are you lot playing at the moment..

I've tried GC2 - whereas its good to look at, it gets a little repetitive. CM 03/04 I now find boring, temporarily quite addictive but wears off fast.. Other recent games I've played and enjoyed were Far Cry, Painkiller and The Suffering.... your suggestions please --- any genre.

And what MMORPG? Jodo's into City of Heroes; Wraith I think plays a MMORPG? ... how you guys finding these games? is it hours of online gaming fun?

I bought City of Heroes while on holiday in Florida, its a Subscription-based game so it cost me the equivalent of around £20 to buy then I payed roughly £15 for another two months of Gaming-time. At first I thought it was repetitive and didn't expect to carry on with it. You spend more time than anything creating your Hero which is a lot of fun in its own right, just creating a Hero that has the Powers that you want and the Look that you're after is great fun and then putting it into practice with all the other Heroes soon starts to get really compulsive. I've temporarily joined Teams and been involved in Mass-brawls and that is mad but enjoyable, building my abilities up and enhancing what I have also gets you gripped good-and-proper. At the moment I have shields made of Flame that burn all surrounding enemies, a Scimitar (Sinbad sword) made of Flame and a Overhead Double-punch that sets peops on fire. I can also Hover (quite fast now that I've been combining upgrades). Its a good game and I'll be carrying on subscribing to it.

Another thing is there is no mention of cheats in the community which is a refreshing change, plus if there was it doesn't actually affect the game for you.

I don't think theres much really good on the PC scene at the mo, I didn't like farcry, to me it was like soldier of fortune 2 with good graphics and we all know how gash SOF2 was

I liked Thief 3, I thought it to be a very good game.. good AI and graphics..
although it's not a rush in and kill game, more a kind of stealth and hide..

still not bad for a few hours phun..

Yeah, T3 was ok - but got repetative. I started out playing it, but missions are pretty similar - and after a while, the need for carnage starts to creep back in!!

but as for MMORPG me & Wraith used to Play EverQuest, it was good back in 1999 but now its ridiculous I haven't played it in years it was very addictive for me.. hence why they call it EverCrack.
