The only problem with the Q-Bic is that it has 2 drive bays, this means is heavier, and also I dont know if u can get a carrier bag for it. With the shuttle, the bag is made for it and trust me, the bag makes a big difference when travelling...
It looks like a nice machine but if ur gonna spend the cash, IMHO you should go for a shuttle.

Just re-read your post, if you want the 2 drives and extra HD's the this one might be better for u, but I have found the small compact shuttle to be the best job.
I will have to look at the full spec later, in work at the mo.

work work !!!!!!!!!
what about your arm then m8
is it better allready ????
good to here that you are back to work allready
when i had my operation i was out of work for over 1 1/2 year
and still not 100 %.................
but to get back to the shuttle i don't want to buy a complete set
i want to use my stuff from my almost 1 year old computer
only thing that i'll have to buy new is memory
but what i asked myself does the small thing do the same as the big tower cause i just can get enough money to buy a shuttle complete but i can manage the cost for the case it's only 160 pounds and maybe i'm getting it cheaper cause a friend of mine is arranging something for a barbone (truck) iff you know what i mean
and the shuttle is easy to bring to the Lan in Abderdeen instead of carrying my case with me again LOL

The soltek seems to be fine... review's state that it's pretty good.
In your other posts you mention that you have a full tower.. does that mean you have a lot of PCI cards? as this Soltek has only 1x AGP and 1 x PCI.

i only have radeon 9700 pro and a soundcard audigy but that's the same as the onboardsoundcard so i don't have any pci slots in use accept the sound thats all

It's worth noting that most of these shuttle / portable units have AC97 sound on board - which is good and bad. It's good, cos for most stuff it works a treat and saves having to put a PCI card in. But it's bad when you play something with complicated sound (lots of channels being used at once) cos the sound will break up. I ended up putting a SB live into my shuttle when I found this out.... but to be honest, there aint much more you need in a shuttle apart from Soundcard and GFX card.
Get a shuttle mate. Be one of us!!

Yes Goldie, come to the Shuttle & AMD darkside.... all those Shuttle owners with P4 chips in them are non-believers...
P.S- if u do go to AMD, get one with a barton core...
Over-clock-tastic...

Go to the light!!! :p
P4 shuttle m8, coz you allready got the chip, the idea of the micro boards are that you leave all the other crap behind and become a minimalist, if you need other HDD and DVD's just use the external usb2 case option (The one i showed u last night) that way you dont put too much strain on the PSU, plus when you travel you can leave the other stuff at home. If you dont have a large HDD then its better to buy a new one coz it will be the cheapest thing in it :D
Plus with an external drive you can hide all of that porn from the youngsters LOL
Which ever you get make sure the chipset is good

thanks for all the advise guys
i bought the O-bic with 512 MB ram 400 MHZ
and going to use my own CPU 2.4 gig
and DVD -/+ writer and radeon 9700 Pro
and i think i'm going for the new HD as well
something lie sata 100 the new thing with the small cable's (red)
it's faster then normal drive's
but i think you (maj or JT) need to order it for me cause i have the idea they are cheaper in england then in holland but we will see
i'm not going to build it yet need to sort all things out first
and make a few DVD's with all my program's on it LOL
