I can hear the hard drive and computer working through the speakers.. any ideas??? it's been like this for ages.. (I dont think it was like this at first build.. must be sommat I've changed..)

Update I dont get it when I unplug the audio leads from the CD-Rom's.. It's pretty quiet and clear when I disconnect these..

Ps.. Night all!!

If your CD / DVD rom supports digital, try using those cables.

Otherwise, leave the sucker unplugged. After all, how often do u play an audio CD in your PC!

Someone might correct me, but if it is the old 2 pin jobbies at the back of the CDROm that are giving u the grief, just dont even reconnect them. They where originally designed to pump music from the CDROM directly to the sound card thus bypassing the rest of the computer. This mean't you could play music without having to tie up the processor. Now machines can easily handle the processing requirements of playing CD's.
