Eyup,
As you know i'm at a course at the mo. What I need is ideas on how I can upload a huge (70 mb) file from here to somewhere. Need answers by tomorrow, so come on folks. Help a guy out here!!
Cheers,
JT
p.s. I don't have ftp upload access btw! But I can split the file up into smaller bits.

iff you don't have FTP upload
how the hell can you send a file the through email maybe
do you have MSN over there otherwise you can send it to msn
or maybe icq i have icq here 46406955
only thing is you have to get up early to send me the file
cause i have to be behind the machine to accept
otherwise split the file into 10 or 15 smaller file's and send everybody you got the emails from some parts of the program
i'm sure we can send them further
i have a 50 MB space on my isp maybe you can zip it and put it up there

Uploading directly to a person?
MSN as a last resort...
But maybe a p2p program?
WinMx (www.winmx.com) - Direct Connect++ (http://dcplusplus.sourceforge.net/)
IRC can also be used as a data transfer proggie.
but use WinRAR or an equivilant to split the file into 10mb chucks, incase the connection is lost.

if it was direct to a person then I'd suggest both installing mirc, agreein which network to connect to, telling each other what your irc nicknames are and contacting em with the /msg command then dcc send the file to em

Smart Media? - scratch that- need snail mail or courier...
Simple? - MSN to someone who does have FTP access.. use them as a stepping stone... if MSN uses FTP to do it's transfers then how about another app with a transfer mechanism- PCAnyWhere??
Spin my nipple knuts and call me Shirley.. what about WinMX or some other distributed peer-multi peer transfer app.. call the file something totally unique like "JTandtheBAcrew.BA" and get your recipient to search for that unique name.. of course they change the .BA later to make it usable..
(of course being the speed reader I am I read the post- flashed past the other suggestions and put my own response in.. WinMX has already been suggested :) )

i got the solution m8
i have 5 email adresses where i can handle 20 mb each box
so iff you split the file's to 5 mb and sent them to all off them i can get them in and upload them to your account

this has to work

Thanks guys. I managed to do it (albeit the hard way)... used three Yahoo briefcase accounts and WinACE to split it into 2.88mb chunks.
Got it done yesterday afternoon. YAY!
