I had a go over the Christmas period as there was a trial period, now finished. It was fun but it kinda reinforced my view that I'm a FPS'er not a MMORPG'er.

i downloaded this last night and began a 7 day trial.. two things struck me;

7 day trial.. ****e
5 hours to install the game.. ****e

i had a quick go before i went to bed and must say it looks quite pretty,

I did try this game sometime ago and I didn't like it. I am still holding a candle for Warhammer Online :)

i had a problem extracting the mammoth zip file - had to install the latest version of winzip, was the only thing that would unzip it - all else complained of corruption.

Well, after thinking about it for about 3 minutes I have decided to download during the day tomorrow, its obviously worth a look. I want to know two things. (1) Do you get a mount at level 40 and (B) Is there any barrens chat !

you can get a mount at lvl 35 or at 25 if you buy the collectors edition! - and im not sure what you mean by barrens chat.... |sad1|

after some research, there are OOC channels in each area, but you can filter to receive these or not :P

Warhammer is the game for me :) Everyone is WO is killing each other it's a real war.

Bought the full version key last night.
I found that although I love COD4, I still need a MMO in my life. And now I've hit 70 in WOW I'm bored of it. So LOTRO I think will be it until WO is released or the new content for WOW is released.

I managed to get the low res client downloaded today. Going to give it a crack and see what its all about.

i've cancelled my sub, tis a good game, i'm just not into the lotr enough to dig my teeth in.

Plus I'm starting to dislike paying monthly sub's to play games - unless of course the right game comes along... alas - this is not it.
