A few hiccups with the servers but the game has gone live at last. The full DVD client is worth installing as the intro video is the best I've seen and no mistake.

just out of intrest is this game like the film where u have to destroy the ring or is it completly different? dumb question probally just intrested :)

The game is based around the books,rather than based on the films. The storyline starts shortly after Frodo leaves the shire to destroy the one ring, your part is in the war that develops as Angmars forces are released in Middle Earth and the war of the ring unfolds. You actually meet members of the fellowship along with many of the books characters along the way, for instance the quest to meet a ranger (Aragorn) in the Prancing Pony which is around the time that Frodo makes his journey to bree.
