Hey Guys,
I was just wondering what your early impressions of the game were in comparison to other MMOs you've played?
Mainly, how is it compared to WoW? any new breakthroughs or fun gameplay ideas?
Cheers

Well i've played a few levels of WoW so cant really comment on that, but compared to guildwars its huge! Its so vast with so much to do. I really like it. Why not try it, theres 9 days left of the early access, you can pick up a key for about £2 from a game store, or buy one instantly from codemasters for £4.99 - download and go :D

What he said ^. If you even considering it you'd be daft not to try the early access. Then if you do like it you can get a full six months for £5.99 a month!
It's pretty good. No major breakthroughs i've seen so far apart from some nice single player instances on occasions. They are good fun.

Without doubt the most sociable game I've played. A lot of this stuff is new to me (MMORPG of this calibre) so I guess i'm still in the 'novelty' zone, but all the same it is a highly addictive and enjoyable outing.

Sounds good :)
What classes did you all choose? From what I saw of the website I probably would have gone captain or lore master.

We have a good mix of class/race in the kinship (yes,we have formed our very own kinship-BAne of Sauron). Loremaster and minstrel seem a very popular choice and we have both, along with guardians and hunters. Personally I have created 5 characters and currently run a Dwarf/Guardian which is basically a tank and great fun to play. My intention is to build each character up to about level 15 and play them according to where and what we are doing as a kinship at that particular time.

I went for a elf loremaster for my first char and am really enjoying it. Comes with some nice energy draining skills which fudge can testify too!!! Pets are really handy, you get a raven at lvl5 and a bear at 14, the bear is the best so far and im close to getting some upgrades for it - to make it stronger. One of the best skills for the bear is that you can make the enemy fight it rather than you, which means you can dump lots of draining spells on the ememy without taking any damage :)
Hunters are really good too, have a bow as a primary weapon and sword as secondary, you can lay traps for your enemy so you can keep them at a distance and take them out without getting into a malee.

Playing hunter and quite liking it (especially due to the uber bow of power as given to me by lord hoots! /bow!)
