I just got Super Monkeyball Delux for the xbox which is made by Sega so they haven't given up quite yet!

After Sega decided Screw all you Dreamcast owners, we aint gonna bother supporting it any more, they announced that they weren't gonna bother making any more consoles and would just develop games which is why all of a sudden, the Sonic titles which used to be Sega platforms only were suddenly released on every Console including their arch rival, Nintendo's consoles.
Back in the day, Nintendo consoles had Mario and Sega consoles had Sonic, nowadays Nintendo consoles have Mario and Sonic, I wasn't surprised though as Sega did the same trick after they released the multi-mega and the Saturn had a mega short shelf life too. Sega are useless when it comes to supporting their own hardware.

Yeah, I used to love Sega stuff because of the fact they could port their Arcade games directly onto their platforms.

However, Sega do seem to have a habit of not going for any long-term interest in the consoles that they release.
