CoD Sound

All,

Just wanted to get some of your views on the sound in CoD, I have just purchased a Audity 2 NX from Creative and have set the option to EAX in the game. WOW! What a difference I was using the 2D audio before (using the on-board sound card).

Can anyone tell the difference between EAX 1, 2 or 3. What have you guys done to get the best sound out of the game.

Mine sounds like crap still! Any time I put on EAX effects, I get dodgy feedback from the cards 'reverb capability'. Not sure why it happens, apart from the fact it's an early soundblaster and EAX had only just been invented!

I think i'll buy a new one and find out what everyone is gabbin about.

yeah EAX 1 was only invented when the soundblaster live was released, I can't tell the diff between 1,2 and 3, I always use EAX if I'm goin thru my 5.1 speaker setup but when I use my headphones, I just use the miles 2d system

thats because you guys use the cheap onboard sound
and you have no room for a decent soundcard hahahahahahahahha

blame me i have a build in soundcard AC97 with eax on it as well and it's running like hell
so i have no complains at all
