FPS Issue solved at last

You may all know that Ive been battling along with 25-40 fps in matches etc, got some good scores too with it. Anyway, last night Golide was looking for a Soltek box for me and gave me some things to check on my PC with regards to graphics drivers.

"Check that you have removed the old graphics drivers first" he said. I checked in Add/Remove Software and there were two Nvidia Drivers there, Ive got an Ati card! Anyway, removed these and the current Ati driver I had, install 4.10 and the bugger flies now. Constant 170fps maxed out at 333fps at one point last night too.

Anyway, moral of the story is, check drivers (only applies to n00bs like me mind!)

i too have 2 nvidia drivers in my add/remove listings but i would not know which one to remove as it doent give you the version or date it was installed.....lol i have

NVIDIA display driver.......and then
NVIDIA windows 2000/xp display drivers

as i run winxp pro nt i would think that the latter is the one i should run with but having just fitted a new NVIDIA gforce5 256meg super duooper graphics card i dont know it seems to run ok anyway but a bit jerky now and then but i havent checked the refresh rate as i dont know how........now there a n00b for you |dunce2|

to be sure you have the correct version installed you could always download the latest driver available
and the remove all the drivers from your computer
restart the machine and install the new one's
that way your always sure you'll have the latest driver installed
