The Eastern Front Mod

Hello everyone! My name is DrGuppy and I'm the Public Relations man for the Eastern Front Mod team.
I'd like to give a short overview of the upcoming mod which is strictly Multiplayer for now.(First release in late Feb. - early March)

Featues of the EF Mod:

-New gameplay modes (1 scheduled for the late Feb-early March release)
-New maps including Berlin, Stalingrad, Operation Barbarossa, Brest Litovsk Fortress, etc. (About 4 new maps for the first release)
-New skins for both the Russians and the Germans including medic and engineer skins.
-New weapons including the ROK flamethrower, SVT-40 rifle, PTRS Anti-tank rifle, Degtaryev 1928 Machine Gun, Moveable Maxim MG, M91/30 PE Sniper Rifle and many more.
-An entirely new and unique 'class selector' system to allow players to choose from different classes including Medic, Engineer (flamethrower), Commander, etc.
-All classes will be realistically limited so in a team of 20 you might find 2 Medics, 1 Heavy Machine Gunner, 1 Commander, 2 Engineers, 1 Sniper, etc. Enabling players to fight effectively as a team.
-A very realistic 'feel' to the game to put players into the battle like they've never experienced before while still maintaining a very playable and fun experience.

NEW UPDATE:

Here we have the Russian M91/ 30 PE sniper rifle in-game thanks to Kraven and WoTMoD for there time and effort. We will have more ingame screens soon. Then we do the trailer baby!

I have to be honest with you guys the first 2 posts are the same as on 40 other CoD Mod websites. It would be just too hard to make totally original posts on 40 or so websites. As the Eastern Front PR man I've made a single thread in all the websites I could find with a little bit of info on what we're all about, also I use the same single thread to post all new updates from the EF team so I don't clutter anyones forums.
I will however respond as quickly as I can to any questions you have about our mod which is of course a freebie for the CoD community. We don't do this for profit, we do it for the pure enjoyment of making it.
I'm not looking for more advertisement space then this, one thread is perfectly fine. If anyone wants to comment on our mod they can do so in this thread, nothing more is needed.

I'll try to have an update for you guys in the next few days.

(PS. Don't hate me because I'm a humble Canuck |beer| )

SOUND UPDATE:

Hey guys, I've got an update here from the Eastern Front Sound Department showing off some of our new voice commands for the Russians done in the Russian language by Hans Gruber and recorded by NeoX.

These are just a few of the new commands that will be in the EF Mod, we will also include more voices including totally new German, Russian, and even female voices!

NeoX from the EF Sound Department is also looking for more voice actors that are aged 20+ and can speak Russian or German without any foreign accents. If your one of these people send NeoX an e-mail with the title 'EF Voice Actor resume' to neomatrix@hotmail.com and become a part of the Eastern Front Team!

Well the EF leaders didn't want to take any chances with other mods stealing the sounds so we cut the original 55 second full list of Russian commands to this 6 second demo so copying it would be useless. If you were another mod team doing the Russians a nicely set out list of all the CoD current commands in perfect Russian would be pretty tempting to take. I know the threat seems silly but we gotta protect our hard-earned progress.

From what I have read it basically fubar'ed all existing mods...

I just talked to VerloX (the EF Mod leader) and he says that our mod has not been affected by the 1.2 patch whatsoever. Everything is moving along quite nicely and the release date is still the same. |thumbup|

Eastern Front HUGE update!

Hey guys sorry for the extra days wait but I think its paid off immensely! I'm now able to show you a ton of new stuff. This update includes info/screens of an entirely new character model working in-game, new weapons working in-game, new sound teaser, and an interview with the EF Mod leader Ryan (aka. VerloX)! Hope everyone enjoys this huge update!

It took sweat, time, patience, and skill to present to you the new Character Infantry Model! **No its not a skin, its a new model! Kraven and WoTMoD spent countless hours day and night getting it to work just right. We also have the new weapons ingame working with the new character model!

Hey everyone, I've got another big Eastern Front update for you guys!

I'll start off with the biggest part of the update: A streaming audio interview on the CoD RoundTable! For those of you who don't know CoDRT is an online shoutcast (aka. radio show) that covers everything to do with Call of Duty. This is a really great opportunity for the EF Mod and I would like to thank the TsN crew and especially Bridger for making it all happen. Hope to have a listen!

I believe it went fairly well although VerloX was supposed to do most of the talking but his computer was messed up so I had to step in. I apologize for this and hope that next time someone more knowledgeable will do most of the talking.
