Sorry bud, we had an impromptu FFA, Axis rifle only, best thing to do is come on comms and ask, its the most speedy way of getting on.

Is your mic just knackered, or is there a config problem somewhere?

i think its a config prob as i can hear meself speak if i dont mute the playback, but feck knows where the prob could be though....

You can switch off the local echo of your microphone with a checkbox in the multimedia panel. Usually your soundcard drivers will install a 'mixer' tool that allows you to do this.

Heres something I didnt realise.... or maybe its just my soundcard...
If you mute your mic locally in windows and run TS, it can still pickup your voice and u dont get the playback in windows... I used to get an annoying "hissing" noise... got really annoying ingame.
I then mutted it and forgot to unmute it once when I started TS and spoke, low and behold people heard me...
Just a thought....

This may sound exceeding stuupid :)
Go to the Recording Options and
1. Hump up the 'recording' level.
2. Select Mic as the recording device.
3. Click on the 20db gain.
Just don't shout..
PS- if you have not 'muted' the Mike - you should hear yourself talking regardles... if you dont (and the recording stuff above was done)- then it's snafu'd.
