Can't seem to get BF2 connecting to a server via xfire, anyone else have this prob?

nope its xfire not sorted out new patch yet just copy ip from info screen then join from BF2 multiplayer screen

ah cool, I'll stop searching for fixes :)

btw, I've found a way to stop all the intro stuff from running which speeds up load up times quite alot.

Simply edit the file names in

C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\mods\bf2\Movies

I changed the extensions for Dice, EA, Intro, Legal & Welcome to .backup

Works fine :)

Also, TSO does not work with BF2, Punkbuster picks it up as an addition direct3d thingy and you get kicked :'(

I edited the movies and got kicked by PB due to unpure client, but that was before the 1.03 patch. Will try it tongiht.

I heard that x-fire won't work properly becuase of the new "message from EA" window thta pops up, which stops the connect to server call.

I've not been kicked since the change red, only when i had tso loaded
