As XFire doesn't display messages whilst playing BF2, and you can't use TS because of the built in VOIP system, being able to join up with friends playing on different servers is very difficult.

I currently play on Multiplay.co.uk #16 Server most nights.

To find this server, once the server listings are loaded, type Multiplay.co.uk in the box above the listings and hit enter. This should filter the servers down to just Multiplay.co.uk servers. And I'll be in there with Velox.

I'm going to be using this server as my home server untill the Retail Version is released.
I'm just hoping that they sort the lobby out before they release the game, as being unable to search for players within the servers is a nightmare.

Hope to see you all on MPUK #16

P.S. Don't forget to use your BA tags when creating an online account. But don't put a space between the {BA} and your name, as it will be rejected.

hahah thats a nice way aswell.
But when u r playing and u r at xfire then u can see the IP write it down.
And do Connect on IP.

Simple as that ;)

I've never been able to display an ip of someone playing BF2 in XFire.

And now I have xfire running of my laptop so i can still communicate whist playing.

TS works ok for me, but I much prefer the ingame VOIP as you can see who is speaking via the popups + you'll also normally have a few random people in the squad so better for them to be able to hear any warnings or directions etc.

I also have my xfire on another PC next to me. Works really well.
