For those of you out the wanting the best performance from your CoD, here is the basics to release the 60fps limit on CoD...

Create a "codconfig.cfg" file (similar as to we did for mohaa) in your MAIN folder and put the following code into it...

seta r_displayrefresh 120
seta com_maxfps 400
vid_restart

Also ts recommended you uncheck "sync every frame" in the options menu. If you want to see the FPS on screen type the following in console...

/cg_drawfps 1

Arn't I good to you all....

As a point, if anyone hasnt setup a config file before, let me now and I will help u out. To run a config file you have to put the following text on the end of your Multiplayer link...

+exec codconfig.cfg

... so it looks like...

"D:\Games\Call of Duty\CoDMP.exe" +set developer 1 +exec codconfig.cfg

The dev1 command removes the intro vid.

what is "+set developer 1"?

I didnt do the above and I get 85 fps - (obviously that is continously) Im guessing if I do the same it will release the max the same for me?

set developer 1 is the standard command in alot of games to put it into developer mode, the only advantage with CoD is thenm it skips the intro screen, but as its short u dont really need it. It is handy for games such as MOHAA & BF which have longggggg EA intros...

BTW Wraith had problems with the "seta r_displayrefresh 120
" as his monitor could not handle it. If you dont have a newish monitor then dont include this line. If your monitor doesnt like it, restart the game in safe mode and load graphic defaults.

Typhoid when you say "I didnt do the above", do you maen you didnt put the developer line but did the rest or you didnt do any of the config stuff?

The dev command doesnt affect graphics, so if you are getting over 60fps then you have removed the fps limit. People are getting varied results from 70fps to 300fps.

i used it to m8
but i'm going to shut down the developer stuff cause it's enoying in the game when somebody type something
or you see a few line's saying your missing something
bal bla bla

rest of the settings work fine

No I havent done anything... and since the issue that JT resolved today the fps is running atthe capped 60 so I will unlock that although I guess it doesnt make that much difference really.
